Schöller Senior Fellow Prof. Jeffrey Parsons, PhD (with R.  Lukyanenko) has published a new article in MIS Quarterly, one of the leading journals in information systems research.

The article “Understanding and Improving Data Repurposing” examines the growing practice of data repurposing, in which data collected for one purpose are adapted for new and often unforeseen tasks. It develops a conceptual framework that distinguishes data repurposing from related practices, highlights the technical, organizational, and ethical challenges it creates, and outlines a research agenda for improving how organizations assess, adapt, and govern repurposed data.
